The Grass Is Always Greener On The Other Fence"

Everyone has heard the statement, the grass is always greener on the other side. That statement basically says that the lives, things, and conditions of others look better then the lives, things and conditions that we are personally living in at the moment. Over the last ten or more years though, when I hear the statement - “The grass is always greener on the other side”, then I add - “yeah and the water bill is higher”.

The second part of that statement - the price of the water - is something that we usually forget. To have X, Y and Z in your life you usually have to give up A, B, and C. What people have, what they obtain, what they possess, usually comes by them giving up other things. The price of the water, i.e. what it takes to have those things, are higher then you are currently willing to pay. I say that because if you were willing to pay that water bill you would already be living like the ones you are envying.

What we fail to understand is that most of the time while we are looking at someone else’s greener grass, someone else is looking at us and wishing they had our life. We are looking at the lives of others, not seeing what they give / gave up to get where they are, and someone else is looking at your life the same way. We rarely see how much we really have because we are so busy looking at the lives of others. There are probably a lot of people that would love to have what your life looks like from the outside.

Some people have green grass due to moral and spiritual sacrifices. They have the life the world tells us to desire, but they have failed or bad marriages, terrible relationships, and other types of issues within their life. No one has it all. You have to decide what you want and then work toward that. By simply making that decision you also decide there are things that you are not going to do, not going to pursue, and things you are not going to prioritize. It is the rare person that can have professional, relationship, physical, emotional and spiritual success. The usual pattern is one or two areas completely dominate the persons life, and the other areas suffer. The area/s that dominate may rotate a bit, but the pattern is the same - one or two areas controlling the life of the person with the rest of their life taking a back seat. Most of the time we are looking at the outside of the person’s life and missing the majority of the details about the person.

That outside of the life is the real key to this discussion. The outside of someone’s life is what we see, not the inside. The inside of someone’s life is where the struggles, the pain, the frustration is, and that is what we rarely see or understand. We see the business success, but we miss the family devastation. We see the big house, but miss the fact that the family can barely eat most nights. We see the new car, but miss the fact that they live in a small home. We see the happy family, what we do not see is how hard the family has worked to stay together. We see the successful ministry, but we do not see all the work that it has taken to achieve that success. We see the balanced life, but we do not see the decisions to not participate in harmful activities and to not prioritize some things society would tell them to pursue. The basic question is what are you going to prioritize, and what are you going to let suffer, to achieve what you want in life. Many times we look to others to help teach us how to correctly prioritize to achieve our goals.

God does not desire us to lust or covet the lives of others. A large part of the process about learning from others is looking at their lives, and then doing what it takes to follow the path to success they have followed. That is likely going to mean a shift in priorities, and some new time management skills.

To learn these skills means that we have to look at more then the surface life of the person. We actually have to get to know the person, the real person, and seeing what they sacrifice, what they prioritize, how they manage themselves and their time, what they struggle with, and what frustrates their growth and development. It is easy to say you want your life to be different, the hard thing to do is to take the steps that will bring about those changes.

But funny, alex nova and renji think that the grass is greener because the neighbors have sprinklers and use fertilizer! HaHahAHAHAHAha..

Banned Books

Books is a way of communication that people use as an entertainment, remember history and communication.

In early 30’s, people use book to revoke citizens to against their leaders and change system in the country.Banned books usually based of fear wrong interruption by the society towards the society itself and political. The fear of true is not the real text here because the true wont hidden for long time. On day it will reveal itself. Wrong message to people is not the right way to be published to the society.

Books are a big innocent guy and the writing is the character of the guy. The way u read the book always change the perspectives of you look a certain thing. This can be used as a war tool by people to start a war in a country. If these things are not controlled, the peace in a country is in jeopardizing. The fear of true is second thing to consider. This is because let see if a country is poisoned with wrong information that wrongly interruption, the chances of creating a war is just there. When the war started, people will die and the peaceful of the country is not there.

Banning book has the same concept like banning films and websites. In political view and society view should be take care for us. This is to make sure the country to be peaceful.

So we (NOVA, ALEX, and RENJI) totally agree with banning books.

They finally came together and agreed to attack the Garuda’s island. Merong Mahawangsa managed to kill the admiral of the Garuda .Even though they managed to rescue the princess from China and won the battle, but they first king of Langkasuka have be kill during the battle.

Who is Merong ?

Since I live in kedah about 20 years old, I didn’t know who is Merong Mahawangsa. Some rumors say that merong is the Iskandar Zulkarnain's (Alexander The Great) descendent and some people say too he was first king of Langkasuka. If merong is Alexander The Great descendent, why he didn’t bring Greek influence to Langasuka as known as Langkawi.

Since I was kid, i have heard the old folk story about “Raja Bersiong”, a cruel king colony. Did “Raja Bersiong” have related with Merong Mahawangsa? So I do my research about Merong. Finally I just got information about “Raja Bersiong” and Merong Mahawangsa, “Raja Bersiong” is a Merong Mahawangsa grandson as know as Seri Maha Inderawangsa. Merong Mahawangsa are Hindus and there are nine government Phra Ong Mahawangsa Hindu before converting to Islam in 1136 and took the name Sultan Mudzafar Shah.

This is a tomb the Sultan Mudzafar Shah I. This tomb is located in Langgar, Kg Bujang, Kedah Merbok.

My Childhood Cartoon

Since I was a kid, cartoon is part of my life until I was form 1. That immediately brought me back to the past, minus the dwelling part. Let's see the kind of cartoons that caused me to be glued in front of TV and perhaps have made some contributions on my mom's nagging.

#1 ~ Thundercats

That would be Thundercats. I love Thundercats. I even made my own Thundercat sword. My only contention about the sword was it's stagnant. Noticed in Thundercats, the sword will gets longer the moment Lion-O is transforming to Thundercat. "Thunder, thunder, thunder cat....HOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!".

#2 ~ Satria Baja Hitam and Gaban

My memories overlapse when it comes to this 2 Japan shows. I am not sure which one does the "dalam masa 0.08 saat (or did I get the seconds wrong), akan bertukar kepada (this is where I got confused who was actually transforming). Nevertheless, I enjoyed this 2 shows and this was the usual reason when my schoolmate and I started our fight session.

KP 2 should or should not get money as intensive?

A problem that all university occurring nowadays with a long list of KP students. The list becoming long and long until some universities lower down their exam standard only to get the students to pass their degree. This affects the university standard. With money playing a part in student’s life it makes them harder to just pass a single paper. Giving money to KP students will boost their hope to pass the paper or the whole course. Let me explain how it works.

First, in Malaysia (the easiest place to explain) not all students have a rich background. With the high expenses and living cost here making some students to be stressed and forced to be in part time jobs. This to cover their daily expenses and living cost. It the way for making money from part time job students neglects their studies. The tiredness from work and with high work load makes them to start to give up with studies. When we analyze the source is the first reason money.

We should give them money to KP student with few condition and monitoring like , the part time jobs should not be continue, students must be punctuality, students progress must be monitoring by the lecture with their respective subject and students must not miss classes without any reason. This act like a safeguard not only for the management but also for the students.

Furthermore, the money management must be monitored by the finance department so the money is not use for wrong purposes. Here money plays a role where they can use their money for daily expenses and to buy few things that help them to be more productive in studies. So with that I totally agree with giving money as intensive for KP2 students.

So folks, this is gonna be a great movie to watch. Feel free to looks at the video trailer.

Birth Order Trait

Here is a table showing some of the birth order character traits, both bad and good, associated with first, middle, last-born, and only children.

First Middle Last Only
Natural Leader Flexible Risk-taker Close to parents
High Achiever Easy-going Outgoing Self-control
Organized Social Creative Leader
On-time Peacemakers Self-centered Mature
Know-it-all Independent Financially irresponsible Dependable
Bossy Secretive Competitive Demanding
Responsible May feel life is unfair Bored easily Unforgiving
Adult-pleaser Strong negotiator Likes to be pampered Private
Obeys  the   rules Generous Sense of humor Sensitive

Believe it or not, there is something that influences your personality even before you take your first breath. This is your birth order. Research shows that a person's birth order has a direct link with his or her personality.
For me, I do believe that it is true that all of us are purportedly born with traits, coincidentally.

Statistics show that the last born is least likely to be disciplined and the least likely to have to toe the mark, the way the older children did. It is indeed!, in my case.

I am the youngest among 4 siblings. I have 2 elder sisters and one elder brother. Based on my past, I think, i'm the most irresponsible child, compared to the other 3. As the youngest child, i used to take things for granted. It is seldom for me to think seriously before doing something. Besides, as the youngest one, I love to be pampered, which cause my parents to spend more time and money for me, in order to fill my needs and desire. And unfortunately, I have been a spoil brat in the past.

As my story goes, I'm the only one, among my siblings, who failed matriculation program.
I wasted a lot of my parents money during my matriculation program. One could not imagine how ungrateful I am with the life i had during that period of time. My parents sent me there to further my studies, which is one step left for me to enter the university. However, like being the black sheep of the family, I used to skip class heavily.

Finally, I have failed my Mathematics subject for the final semester, and it caused me a bad situation. Matriculation's undergraduates cannot failed any 3 subjects,
(Either Biology, Mathematics & Chemistry for science stream, or Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry for physics stream). If any subject is failed, they are unable to enter universities for Bachelor Program. Therefore, I have wasted 1 year of my life, which my parents expected me to gain a success, but i gave them a FAILURE.

I have badly disappointed my parents that time. But lucky for me, their lots of love and support never fade away. So here am I, trying to be a better man, away from my dark past, building back the trust and hopes to succeed in this life.

Trip to London, UK.

London. It is the capital of England and largest metropolitan area in United Kingdom. Nowadays, it is a leading global city, with strengths in the arts, commerce, education, entertainment, fashion, finance, health care, media, professional services, research and development, tourism and transport all contributing to its prominence.

From Malaysia, it takes around 14 hours for flight to fly there.
If you travel by MAS (Malaysia Airline System), the nearest terminal to London is the Heathrow Terminal. By the way, do you know that we from
Malaysia (Asian country region), are not allowed to bring any meat and dairy product? Yes. It is secured and prohibited by the UK Border Agency. This is because food products can carry pests and diseases, which they afraid it can devastate UK environment, agricultural and industries.

When you are in London (as it is in the United Kingdom) , the currency is known as pound. (Great Britain Pound / Sterling). By doing the comparison between Malaysian Ringgit and Pound, it is almost a 1 to 5 ratio, which is 1 pound cost almost RM5. The notes for the Pound starts from 5 pound, followed by 10 pound, 20 pound and the largest value of notes is 50 pound. And for the coins (pence), usually called P by the local, starts from 1pence, followed by 5 pence, 10 pence, 20 pence, 50 pence, 1 pound and 2 pound.

Traveling in London, generally people will used bus and train (called tube).
If in Malaysia, there is a Touch n Go card, London used an Oyster Card.
This is the essential transport ticket for London.

One of some great places to visit in London is like the Eyes of London. It is a giant 135-meter (443 ft) tall Ferris Wheel, situated on the banks of the River Thames in the British capital. The wheel carries 32 sealed and air-conditioned egg-shaped passenger capsules, where each capsule can holds up to 25 people, who are free to walk around inside the capsule, though seating is provided. The revolution takes about 30 minutes and it gives us a very pleasant scenery view.

Near this millennium wheel is th Big Ben. It is the nickname for the great bell of the clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London and is generally used to refer to the clock tower.

Another great yet historical place to visit in UK is the Stonehenge. It is a prehistoric monument located
in the English county of Wiltshire.

As one of the most famous sites in the world, Stonehenge is composed of earthworks surrounding a circular setting of large standing stones. It is at the center of the most dense complex of Neolithic and Bronze Age monuments in England, including several hundred burial mounds.

However, the grass on the other side is not always greener. As a Malaysian and a Muslim, there would be a little difficulties while being there, such as there is very few of mosque and the public toilet does not have a water hose. Therefore, you need to bring a water bottle inside a toilet, for cleanse, unless you are comfortable using tissues to wipe your private part after finish having a go. Besides, toilets in residents area and houses are already designated for dry floor in  bathroom and without hose pipe friendly. Therefore, once you get to live there, feel comfortable to wash your backside after a large (poo) in a bath tub. He-he.

If I could rule The WORLD...

I will make the world in peace without war. War did not bring any good to the world. The benefit is only goes for the one who start the war .This kind of person is really a coward person. Who they toast a champagne for every one of their soldier are killed. If I rule the world, I will change the Somalia piracy education to the nice education to become a doctor, engineer and someone useful to others. Each youngster at Somalia may have a laptop rather than carry an AK47 or bazooka. I would rather provide violence games like half life and counter strike compare to provide weapons.

Then I would join the Middle East countries problems as one nation. This is because Middle East conflict made the world as a big political problem among them. Furthermore, I would solve the problem in Egypt so that, our student can study there peacefully.  Finally, world peace is my peace.

My Educational Aspirations

Believe you can and you're halfway there.
- Theodore Roosevelt
As we live in this world, there would be a lot of things that we want to achieve. Aspirations is the key to a successful life. It will give us the meaning of life. It will lead us to do what is essential, and from there, we will trying to give the best effort and commitment, in order to achieve and grab the goals.

As a student, I have gone through a lot of classes and examinations, knowledge and experience, which gave me a lot of success, failure, and also the ups and down. My educational aspirations comes from a great man, which is my beloved father. He used to be a very hardworking man, succeed in his past lifetime, and now living in joy and harmony, just  like harvesting the benefits of sweat and tears. During my diploma program, I started playfully, but lucky for me, someone have grab me from the dark, and brings me into the light, which I'm traveling through right now.

Currently in this new year 2011, I want to achieve a better results in my bachelor studies. I would like to score as many A's as possible in every subject I taken. Starting with a trust that I can do this. I will be prepared, by studying hard and smart. I will do my best to use my leisure time wisely, which mostly need to be the time for reviewing the studies needs. Despite it all, we as human can only do the planning and perform the task, while the outcome is already stated in the fate of life by the Almighty One. Therefore, I would never forget to ask for his blessing, and hopefully, there's a bright future for me and all of us.
